Let me share with you what we ate during our trip. When we got to the hotel, it was around 4pm. After settling down and freshening up in our hotel room, we went to the lobby to eat at the Grand Salon. It’s the only restaurant open between lunch and dinner time. They had a hight tea buffet (around $130HKD) which consists of different tea sandwhiches, tea, and pastries. We din’t get the tea buffet coz we wanted to eat real food ‘coz we got a bit hungry and tired from the flight.

We finished our meal around 5pm. We had some time to spare, so we went over to Harbour City via Taxi. It was a Sunday so no traffic and it took us 20 minutes to get there. After going around the mall a bit, we got some supplies at City Super and we were gonna eat dinner there but we weren’t hungry yet so we ended up eating at the hotel. Grand Salon dinner buffet for $149HKD. Kids below 3 eat for free.
Day 2: Disneyland day! We decided to try out the breakfast buffet at Grand Salon.

We finished breakfast around 11am then we headed to the park. After some walking and picture taking with princesses, we ate lunch at the restaurant in Fantasyland.

We went back to the hotel before 6pm to get to our 630pm dinner reservation at Enchanted Garden. We made it a bit early coz we were planning to go back to the park by 8pm for the fireworks at 830pm.

There was one more buffet I wasn’t able to take a picture of. But to sum it up, food was good. It was comparable to the HEAT buffet in Edsa Shangrila (but double the price!). It had a good selection of food and convenient way of putting smiles on the kids’ faces by interacting with the characters without having to line up!
Day 3 breakfast. We had room service for breakfast. We had waffles, pancakes, fruits, orange juice, sandwhiches, milk, & coffee. All for the 3 of us to share. I have a picture of that and will post it once I find it :-).
For Lunch, we ate at the restaurant in Tomorrowland that had a lot of flying saucer decors. After eating, we saw Buzz lightyear outside and we were able to take a picture with him.

We headed back to the hotel around 4pm to catch our 430pm shuttle to the airport (which we missed).
Dinner was roasted duck from Cafe de Coral. Chesca had chicken nuggets from McDonalds. And we had Ben & Jerry’s ice cream for dessert. All in the airport.
To sum it up, we were after the convenience. We ate what was near and didn’t think of bringing food from Manila or buying from the grocery and cook it ourselves or buy cup noodles or canned goods. Our thinking was, it would defeat the purpose of the vacation. A lot of people were saying that food’s expensive in Disneyland or at the hotel. But since you already paid so much for the trip, what’s a few more bucks for hot freshly cooked food. It was time to enjoy and relax a bit. So we decided to splurge just a tiny bit for that convenience.
If we were to go back, we’d still eat in the restaurants at the hotel and at Disneyland.
***Please note that the prices I put are not accurate. It’s as far as I can remember 🙂
