I’ve been hearing a lot about how convenient UBER is. I decided to give Uber Manila a try one day going to the airport. But to get you started, you’ll first need to register and download the app on your phone and you’re ready to go.
When you open the app, just input your pickup location …and destination. It will show you how many Uber cars are available within your pick up area and how far out an available car is. Remember, this is a real-time car booking service. So you will only be able to know if there’s an available car near you once you go online and open the app for that specific time. If you search for a car nearby, there may be instances that there are none available. So you’ll just need to keep trying.
You have a choice between UberX (cheaper) or Uber Black cars (premium cars). We weren’t looking for any classy car to the airport, all we needed at was a safe ride that would get us there fast. We only had carry-on luggage so this tiny Wigo car was worked for us. If you’re one of those who’d prefer the premium cars, then go for the Uber Black cars.
Payments for each transaction is paid via the credit card you gave when you registered online. So no more worrying about having enough cash or if the cash you paid the driver goes to the right hands. For me, its more convenient to have cashless transactions. Receipts will be emailed to your with a detailed list of charges for each transaction.
I was even more happy when my first uber ride was free! You can also use this promo code: “cristanab184” for free credits on your first uber ride 🙂 How neat is that!?
Our driver was also very pleasant and uber nice which was a plus. We gave the driver a tip because we appreciated his positive attitude and rapport. It says on their website that you’re not required to tip the driver but of course, it’s all up to you.
So friends, try out uber for times when you don’t have a ride in any of the 58 cities they’re available. I hope you have the same nice experience we had!
Please do share here your uber experience.
