I recently discovered there were shower rooms travelers could use for free at the Taipei Airport (2f near Godiva/ food court). As I saw the “shower rooms” sign, I was curious to see if it was decent enough being free and all. To my surprise, it was really clean, had soap and shampoo readily available, well maintained, and even had a blow dryer. If my flight wasn’t just two hours long, I would’ve taken a bath. Too bad I didn’t discover this during my previous long haul. At least now I know better.

Another thing great about the Taipei Airport is their comfort room. They think about traveling with kids well. They made sure that there are comfort rooms that had toddler seats across the main toilet so that parents who don’t have strollers have somewhere to put baby while they’re trying to “get comfort” themselves.
It’s also nice that they have toddler toilets in the same comfort room which makes it less stressful for parents. They’re able to keep an eye on their kids who need to use the toilet without worrying about their luggage as the comfort room is spacious.
Kudos to airports who think about these stuff to make things more convenient, comfortable and less stressful for travelers with kids in tow.
