Little Gym

Does your toddler have too much energy?  One good way to let kids release their energy is by letting them do physical activities.  This doesn’t just help improve their motor skills, but makes them stronger and lets them exercise their muscles as well.

Little Gym is a good place for that.  Since they also have classmates in each class, their social skills are also developed.  If you have shy toddlers, this may help them get out of their shells.

Little Gym El Pueblo.  Place is clean.  Equipment is well kept so you won’t have issues with your kids rolling around dirty floors.  I actually also looked at club gymnastica near Pioneer but the facility wasn’t inviting for toddlers.  It wasn’t well kept at all and if your kid has allergies, it may be triggered when they start running around there.  It’s more for biigger kids with better immune systems.

They have different classes/lessons for each age group. For me, I like the 3 years old and up classes coz it really focuses on their gymnastics skills (which we chose).  There are also other classes wherein the theme is sports so they have different toys for the kids too.  Kids who are 3 years old are left in the class without companions anymore except for the teacher.  This makes them learn discipline in listening to the teacher and waiting for their turn, as well as following instructions.

I’m not so into the classes for kids below 3 coz these are where the kids need companions inside and do singing and different physical movements.  I’d rather send them to Kindermusik for infants coz singing is their forte.  And Pre-school for 2 years old for the same reason.  Well, that’s just me.  Different strokes for different folks right?

Little Gym costs about 1k per session if you break down their tuition of 12k/semester (12 sessions).  A bit steep but if it benefits your child, and you have the means, why not?  At least its worth a try.

Christmas Activities at Podium

One Saturday, we had a chance to experience the Christmas activity at Podium.  For purchases adding up to P2,500, you get a chance to participate in different activities such as card making, cupcake decorating, and xmas ball decorating.

Different Activities for kids.

Card making and Activity Center

Mrs. Fields had a booth where you can purchase their products. They were the ones who sponsored the cupcake decorating. But of course, the cupcakes that were given weren't the normal ones they sell.

The best experience we had was picture with Santa. It was for FREE! and there was NO LINE!

These little things melt my heart when I see big smiles on my kids’ faces 🙂

You can call Podium at 638-9781 for more information.

Some Fun Ranch FUN

We have never been to Fun Ranch so I decided to give it a try.  So we got ready and headed there at 1030am to avoid the scorching heat of the sun.  Unfortunately, it was still closed!  They open at 12noon.  But that didn’t stop us from having fun.

The kids made the most out of it.  Even if the rides were closed, they still enjoyed themselves.

Figuring out what she could possibly do.
They started off with these ropes and slide.
Another "free" ride. Still had fun even if it wasn't running.
All these bump cars were just lined up in one row. They had a blast just sitting inside and running around the bump car area. Not a single penny spent!
Enjoying their own cars.
This was the indoor play area. Also still closed. They only allow kids 64 inches tall to ride the slide. The picture at the bottom shows the girls singing their Disney songs on stage.

When it was getting hot a bit, we went inside the office which was already open at 11am.  We inquired how much their rates were for events.  Inside this reservations office was a small play area with a playhouse, foam mats, at other stuff kids could play with.  We let the kids stay here for another 30 minutes before we went home.

Fun Ranch closes at 9pm.  If I’m not mistaken, it costs P290 per child to be able to go on the rides.  They have a carousel, bump cars, ferris wheel, caterpillar, and a lot more.  The indoor play area has a different rate.  From what I saw, this place is best for kids 2 yrs. old and up.  Babies might not enjoy it as much and might be too hot for them to stay outdoors.

We’ll definitely go back to try out the whole experience.

But nonetheless, the kids definitely had a wonderful time on this particular morning!

To top it off, we didn’t have to pay for anything 😛

Thanks to Jaraiza for the siopao and water! 🙂

Playdates: Quick little snack…

This time, it wasn’t all play.  We decided to make the kids just sit down quietly and eat some yogurt.  Trying to teach them how to be independent?  That was the goal!

We sat the girls on chairs and had them eat on the table by themselves.  Though one cup of yogurt took 30 minutes to eat, it was a learning experience for them to act like big girls without having to run after them to feed them.  Of course, we had to come up with a game and prizes for them to finish their food!  But we’re getting there, just a little more practice of eating by themselves 🙂

Try it with your toddlers.  It’s always easier when they’re with other kids so it’s more fun for them!
